It was with strength and perseverance she met her daily challenges. She was blessed with strong support from family and the amazing people at Davita Kettering. During her last 5 years as she continued to pursue her passions, she met many physical struggles. In an effort to be closer to family and friends she returned to the Kettering area in 2018. Albert the Great Catholic parish, a charter member of Ascension Catholic Church and St. Guided by her Catholic faith, Christine was a member of St. Together, they shared countless cherished memories, engaging in activities such as bowling, crafting, playing games, and hosting delightful, themed parties that brought laughter and happiness to all who attended. While in Columbus, Christine formed lifelong bonds with a dedicated group of friends affectionately known as "The Girls”. Even after her beloved husband passed, she remained steadfast and true to their vision for their future, eventually sharing those same values with the next generations. It was with love, kindness and guidance that they raised their boisterous children to adulthood. It was here that Christine and Michael built a life for themselves and their 5 children. In 1967, Christine and her family moved to Columbus, OH. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Christine possessed a deep love for literature and eagerly shared her passion for reading with family and friends. Her talents were admired by all who had the pleasure of witnessing her creations. She had a keen eye for photography and a passion for sewing, quilting, and scrapbooking. Christine's legacy of love will continue to live on through her family for generations to come.Ĭhristine was gifted with a creative spirit and pursued various artistic endeavors throughout her life. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immense happiness and pride to her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was a dedicated and loving mother to her five children, providing them with endless love and unwavering support. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion.Ĭhristine's primary focus and greatest joy in life was her family. Their connection grew deep and profound, and they exchanged vows of eternal love on October 3, 1959. It was during this time that she crossed paths with the love of her life, Michael Kane. Christine's family returned to the Dayton area when she was young, where she grew up and flourished with her brothers, and her sister.Īfter graduating from Fairmont High School, the class of 1956, Christine embarked on a journey that would forever define her life. ![]() She was born on Mato the late Leo and Mary Magdalene Schaefer, in Narragansett, RI.
